CHRONIC DEADWEIGHT is an 8-hour performance where I metaphorically carried my emotional baggage. For six and a half hours I repetitively paced carrying bags filled with rock salt. Over time the bags sustain damage with small holes leaking the rock salt on the floor. I sat intermittently and attended to the damaged bags refilling them with rock salt from the floor. During the last hour and a half of the performance, I swept the salt away into piles and ultimately dispersed the salt by mopping the floor, clearing my dead weight.
